Baumkuchen (Treecake™)

If fine pastry is your passion, try the award winning Eitelbach Treecake™ Baumkuchen which is a tribute to the old world artistry of confection making. Based on recipes and a technique developed for the European royalty centuries age, the delicate Treecake Baumkuchen to this day remains a symbol of excellence. Known as the "Cake of Kings and the King of Cakes", Treecake Baumkuchen is baked layer by layer on a rotisserie requiring the constant care of a skilled confectioner. It is best enjoyed with a cup of coffee and whipped cream or fresh fruit. When the cake is cut open, the golden brown rings of the many layers are revealed, reminiscent of a cut tree trunk from which the Treecake Baumkuchen gets its name. The consistency is similar to pound cake, but the taste is unique because of the special baking process and rich ingredients that include fresh butter, eggs, almonds and a touch of rum.

Treecake Truffle™ Petits Fours

This Eitelbach specialty combines the delicious Treecake™ Baumkuchen with the smoothest and most sumptuous Truffle and Marzipan fillings. The Petits Fours are rectangular, small dessert pieces and are perfect items to be served after dinner or at a party. Available in elegant boxes of various quantities, they also make a very unique and special gift.
